It's welcome news that test scores in reading and math continue to rise for students across Nebraska. According to results released this week, 89 percent of Nebraska students met state reading standards. Eighty-eight percent met the mathematics standards on the standardized proficiency tests that are given each year to fourth-, eighth- and eleventh-grade students statewide.
