The North Platte Telegraph The excitement was contagious Monday afternoon, as more than 200 students, teachers, staff and parents filled the Buffalo Elementary gym. Buffalo was one of four in Nebraska to be named a Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education. Its recognition was based on high performance levels in reading and mathematics the past five years.
